Enjoy :)

Almost here

Just a few more things to add to my new blog before I post it. Trying to get the details ironed out, and planning our first Thanksgiving feast is keeping me busy!

Check back soon, and Happy Thanksgiving if I don't get to you before then!

I think Thanksgiving is the best holiday ever, because the entire world seems to stop just so that we can gather with loved ones and eat. How fantastic is that???

Wishing you and yours a very happy holiday :)

Exciting new stuff in the works...

Hi Friends,

I am currently working on a new blog. Not a new blog post, but an entire new blog! It's going to be fabulous! Give me a few more days to get it together, and I will give you the new address.

Happy Saturday :)

Off to the Pumpkin Patch

The search for the perfect pumpkin can be stressful.

Especially when you’re not quite two years old and the vines grow taller than your belly-button. With a mixture of curiosity, excitement and frustration, Harrison explored all that Jubilee Farm had to offer.

This Spring, young Harrison will move over in the family tree. No longer the only child, he will share his neighboring space beneath mom and dad with his new and beloved baby sister. Parents Tish and Jesse decided Harrison needed one more photo shoot starring yours truly before Baby Girl Brown arrives, so off to the pumpkin patch we were.

Check out a few of the vintage edits from his exploration here.

Sara & Shane's Port Gamble Wedding

Groomsmen joked during their toasts that Shane was a Groomzilla, and Sara’s six-inch thick wedding planning book might leave strangers assuming the dreaded Bride-term about her as well. But as I met with them prior to the wedding, discussed their plans, and shot their engagement session, I came to know that these two lovebirds were very serious about only one thing: each other.

Embraced by sisters, parents, and longtime friends, their wedding was not just about the two of them, but also about everybody that traveled to Port Gamble to celebrate with them on this gorgeous Autumn day.

I still get goosebumps thinking about all the fun little details and happenings that made their wedding special, such as…

  • Caramel-Apple wedding favors…
  • Sara’s great-grandmother’s cross, pinned to her corset…
  • Sara’s sister exclaiming, “She is soooo worth the wait” as she was about to exit the guesthouse to see Shane for the first time…
  • Sara’s dad’s Mustang as the getaway car…
  • The song “Grow Old With You” by Adam Sandler (from the Wedding Singer) as you lit your Unity Candle together…
  • The four-generation ring bearer tradition…
  • The 28-year-old bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon that Shane’s parents bought the year he was born, and brought to toast the occasion…
  • The special dedication from the Bride and Groom to Shane’s adorable grandparents, who have been married 63 years, and counting… and the grandma kissing the grandpa as if it were their wedding day…
  • And the pure enthusiasm of every single person at the wedding.

I have so many great photos to share, but please, enjoy these for now!
